I was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts. When I was 4 we moved to Bradenton, Florida. We only stayed in Bradenton for a year and then moved to Hudson, Florida. We stayed there briefly before moving to Port Richey and the home that I grew up in. In my youth I played football, basketball, soccer, golf and video games. Because of my active lifestyle I endured my share of injuries including:
I graduated from Ridgewood High School in New Port Richey and was unsure what I wanted to do with my future. My friends went off to college but that wasn't what I wanted to do at the time. I eventually decided on the US Navy. I went to boot camp in Orlando, Florida and then went to San Diego, California to serve on the USS Downes FF-1070. I did a little travelling while I was serving my country and I've got some great stories from that time in my life. After the Navy I decided to give college a try. I went to Pasco-Hernando Community College and earned my Associate of Arts degree. From there I went to the University of South Florida. I wanted to be a professional broadcaster. I got a job in radio and dropped out of college for a spell. I realized later I wanted to finish my degree but I was already doing broadcasting so I decided on switching majors and going for Advertising. After many years of going part-time or not at all I graduated in December, 2003 with my Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications and Advertising. I'm very proud of myself for sticking it out and finishing up. Some of my classmates were young enough to be my kids! I was even older than one of my teachers but now I'm finished and proud of the diploma that hangs on my wall.
